Moneybags
Painted over a full newspaper comics page, this piece contrasts childhood imagination with adult pursuit. The figure stands heavy with two skull-marked moneybags, a rewind symbol hovering behind him—suggesting a desire to go back, or at least reconsider. Innocence to accumulation. Which one is the reward?
This is a museum-quality giclee print of original hand-painted artwork. The original was made with acrylic, spray paint, and ink on an original aluminum Los Angeles Times comics printing plate, circa 1989.
Artwork may be (carefully, deliberately) cropped based on the print size you select. I've selected the crops for each size to be ideal for standard frame sizes, and they look great! 24x36 showcases the full uncropped piece.
