Urban Ape came out of time spent walking New York.

NYC makes me happy in a very specific way. It wears me out and wakes me up at the same time. You walk all day, see too much, hear everything, get overstimulated, and somehow feel sharper instead of drained. It’s loud, messy, and relentless, but it never feels dull.

Street art like this is part of that rhythm. You turn a corner, there’s a chimp on a wall, someone slapped smiley faces over the eyes, and you keep moving. No explanation. No permission. It just exists where you didn’t expect it.

Every visit does the same thing to me. I leave tired, a little fried, and already wanting to come back. That balance is the magic.
